Best of Anime: Best of One Piece Villains
One of the
most awaited cosplay events this month! And as the crew would look at it, it’s
the best time to have a Grand Assembly!
Best of
Anime was held at SM Mall of Asia, SMX Convention Center on September 16, 2012.
It was a two-day fun-filled day for all cosplayers and con-goers alike.

The
GrandLine Philippines crew was spotted on Day 2 wherein they’ve featured the
most number of villains yet, than the Straw Hat Pirates.
Some of the
villains launched that day were:
- Perona (New World/Time Skip Saga): cosplayed by Maiqui Szarey M. Iquina
- Van Auger (Black Beard Pirate): cosplayed by Edmark Manansala
- Zeo (Fishman Pirate): cosplayed by Jelyn Trazy R. Tumangan - - A GLPH FIRST!
- Saldeath (Impel Down): cosplayed by Vinnie Besa
We’ve also
launched the Impel Down Parody gang! They were really awesome that day and
spilled tons of fun for the photographers and con-goers alike.
Those
prisoners were also joined by Hancock in Impel Down Outfit. They were:
- Bon-chan / Bon Clay: cosplayed by Pachi Law
- Mr. 3 (gender bend): cosplayed Nicole Cipriano
- Buggy the Clown (gender bend): cosplayed by Katrina Africa
- Boa Hancock (impel down parody): cosplayed by Kristalyn Hazel
Some of the
other villains that day were:
- Buggy the Clown (East Blue Saga): cosplayed by Limuel Alagaban
- Admiral Kizaru: cosplayed by Biyo Lucero
- Admiral Aokiji: cosplayed by JJ Peñafiel
- Dracule Mihawk: cosplayed by Laurie Besa, Noli Reyes and Jr Rain
- Marine: cosplayed by Sebastian Michaelis Kuroshitsuji
And of
course we also have the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies. We have:
- Monkey D. Luffy: cosplayed Jaycy Perocho and Bryan Monkey d-Luffy
- Roronoa Zoro: cosplayed by Eugene John Ravina
- Tony Tony Chopper: cosplayed by Kenn Supetran and April Villafuerte
- Miss Wedenesday (Baroque Works): cosplayed by Marlette Alano Besa
- Red-Hair Shanks: cosplayed by Loytotz
- Portgas D. Ace: cosplayed by Neil Strife and Christian Esquejo
- Pell (Alabasta): cosplayed by Bonz Borja
- and the New World Saga Straw Hats: Khriz Fernando as by Khriz Fernando, Ron as Roronoa Zoro, Gemzki Batol as Soul King Brook, Arvin Tranate as Usopp (featuring Ms. Lesley Grace as Nami and Liui Aquino as Sanji).
- we also met Gaby Ortega that day who has cosplaying as one of Boa Hancock’s crewmate, Margaruette.
It was such
a grand day for the crew. Fellow anime cosplay groups were there too such as
Bleach and Naruto.
And the
Japanese band Uchusentai Noiz
performed there as well, they were really cool!
We are
looking forward for more Grand Assemblies and again and again, we thank you
guys for all the love and support. We will see you soon at CosMania 2012! (^__^)v
